The Domestic Abuse Resistance Team (DART) serves seven parishes and they are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, energetic and connected advocate for Claiborne Parish.
This program was founded in Lincoln Parish where they have their emergency shelter and administrative offices.
DART has 6 offices and rural advocates across North Louisiana including Union, Bienville, Claiborne, Jackson, Winn and Grant parishes. These rural advocates do everything from filing protective orders, arranging for emergency shelter, holding community awareness and fundraising events, speaking at the schools, and partnering with their parish churches, businesses and organizations in many ways.
They are seeking a part-time advocate to work 25 hours/week. The current operating hours are Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Applicants must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills and either social sciences degree or experience in the field.
