Summerfield Academic Foundation gearing up for annual fish fry and auction

The Summerfield Acadmic Foundation will be holding their annual fish fry and auction.

Foundation Chairman Katie Strahan said, “We are excited to be able to come together in-person once again for our fish fry and auction. This is our primary fundraising event which helps support an array of projects throughout the year for the betterment of our school.”

The auction will be held on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with a meal served at 5:30. The auction will begin at 6:00.

The $15 entry at the door includes a meal (fish or chicken strips, sides, and dessert) catered by Ben Christmas Catering of Ruston.

“We will have many large pieces to bid on individually, including lots of great outdoor items including a deer feeder, large outdoor swing, air compressor, and many others, as well as a variety of sweets, homemade treats, and specialty items,” said Strahan. “Elementary classes are working hard to put together themed baskets to auction- think spa day, camping, and ‘Sweet Home Louisiana’, which are sure to be lots of fun.”

There will also be men’s, women’s and children’s raffle tables with smaller items & tickets for sale at $1 each.

This event is a great time to catch up with old friends, or even make some new ones, so please join the Summerfield Academic Foundation for a great night of fellowship while supporting the school. All proceeds fund projects that directly benefit the students of Summerfield.
