Lengthy narcotics investigation leads to multiple arrests

Sheriff Sam Dowies and Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) recently executed arrest warrants and search warrants in the Colquitt Community of Claiborne Parish that resulted in seizures and arrests. Those searches and arrests were results of a lengthy investigation into narcotic trafficking occurring in the northern part of Claiborne Parish.

On Monday, April 10, 2023, CPSO personnel executed a search warrant at the house located at 450 Wayne Odom Road in the Colquitt Community of Claiborne Parish. Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Drug paraphernalia, and illegally possessed firearms, including one that had been stolen in Arkansas, was seized pursuant to the execution of the search warrant.

Roy Wayne Odom, the owner of the Wayne Odom Road residence, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of drug paraphernalia. Chad Michael Many, a resident of that house, was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and with Possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, CPSO personnel executed a search warrant at the house located at 4293 Old Colquitt Road. Methamphetamine, Marijuana, Drug paraphernalia, diverted pharmaceutical drugs, and illegally possessed firearms was seized during the search.

Marilyn Sue Cheatham was arrested at the Old Colquitt Road residence and was charged with four (4) counts of Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, three (3) counts of Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

Gregory K. Bailey was arrested at the Old Colquitt Road residence and was charged with two (2) counts of Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug paraphernalia, and Illegal Carrying of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023, CPSO personnel arrested Kellie Janine Bailey at her residence located at 122 Pierce Lane in the Colquitt Community. Bailey was in the possession of Marijuana and Drug paraphernalia when arrested. Bailey was arrested and was charged with four (4) counts of Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, three (3) counts of Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Further arrests are imminent.
