SOFTBALL:

Competing in Division V, the number 17 seed, the Summerfield Lady Rebels played the number 16 team, the Zwolle Hawks, on Monday. It was a close game, but the Lady Rebels pulled a win, 9-8.

Yesterday, April 19, they traveled to play the number 1 team at Holden in the second round of the playoffs. The Lady Rebels fought hard, but ended up being shut out by the fifth inning, losing 0-11.

BASEBALL:

The LHSAA announced the baseball brackets for the 2023 playoff season on Tuesday, April 18. They will be doing things a little differently this season with Divisions I-III playing all rounds as a Best of 3 series.

The Haynesville Tornadoes made the cut for Division IV, landing in the 24th spot. They played the number 9 seed at Grand Lake yesterday, April 20.

The Haynesville Tornadoes lost 13-0 in the fifth inning.
