CLAIBORNE PARISH — The Louisiana Department of Education has named Macy Garner of Haynesville Jr./Sr. High School as a semifinalist for Louisiana Teacher of the Year.

The recognition is part of the state’s annual program honoring outstanding educators who make significant impacts on student achievement and learning environments.
