The annual Louisiana Legends Festival Legend is recognized with unique and original artwork. Claiborne Unite Foundation, Inc. the volunteer organization that produces the annual October Festival is proud to announce that the Claiborne Parish Library has agreed to have the original art on display at the Claiborne Parish Library in Homer.
Pam Suggs, Claiborne Parish Library Director has worked with the library staff to display the artwork in the main room at the library. “We are so proud to display the original Legend Fest Legend montages. This is consistent with our mission at the Claiborne Parish Library to be the center of reading and research in Claiborne Parish.”
The Claiborne Unite Foundation Board of Directors has been working to find a place to display the Legend art. Jack Hightower, President of Claiborne Unite stated “The Claiborne Parish Library is the perfect location to display the Legend originals. It was the board’s desire to house them in a public location that was easy for the citizens of the Parish to enjoy. From the very first meeting Ms. Suggs and the Claiborne Parish Library have been tremendous partners with the Louisiana Legends Festival.”
The current art on display recognizes each of the honored Legends.
