A chance to get your questions answered on local history is scheduled for Tuesday, August 20 at a Homer restaurant housed in an 116-year old Queen Anne-style house.

A Gracious Plenty and owner Cynthia Steele will host historian Wesley Harris in a “Q & A” session at 5:30 p.m. Harris will answer questions, share little known facts on Claiborne Parish history, and briefly discuss some of his books.

Harris has written professionally for 40 years and retired as manager of Lake Claiborne State Park in 2020. Since he joined the Claiborne Parish Library the day after his retirement, he has written or edited nine books, all related to Claiborne Parish history.

All the books will be available for purchase at the event.

Refreshments will be provided by the restaurant located at 628 North Main Street. The event is free and open to the public.
