The Claiborne Parish 4-H Junior Leaders recently led a successful canned food drive for the Spirit of Christmas Canned Food Drive through Blessings in Homer with donations from Summerfield, Haynesville, Homer, and Mount Olive schools. The Junior Leaders worked tirelessly to collect, sort, and prepare hundreds of canned food items for local families in need this holiday season.

The community’s generous contributions ranged from canned vegetables to soups and pastas, all of which will be distributed to those facing hardship.

“We are grateful for everyone’s support and the hard work of our Junior Leaders and the Community,” said Destiny Hightower, 4-H Youth Development Agent.

This annual drive highlights the community’s spirit of giving and ensures many families will enjoy a brighter holiday season.
