A log truck overturned late Friday morning in Homer, scattering its load of pine logs across a nearby parking lot, authorities said.

The accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 2 and U.S. Highway 79. According to officials, the truck — owned by M.D. Smith of El Dorado Timber Co. — lost its load before overturning.

The logs rolled into the parking lot of the Linder Motel, but no injuries were reported. Crews worked to clear the debris and reopen the intersection to traffic.

Louisiana State Police responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
