The Haynesville Golden Tornado will be celebrated with a community Championship Parade this Saturday, December 20, at 11 a.m., honoring their remarkable achievement as the 2025 Louisiana State Football Champions, school and parish officials announced.
The Golden Tornado captured the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Division IV Non-Select state title, topping the Mangham Dragons 39-37 in a thrilling contest at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The victory marked the program’s 18th state championship, the most recent since 2014.
Head Coach David Franklin and his team completed a perfect 14-0 season with the dramatic Superdome win, electrifying fans and putting local football back in the spotlight.
The Championship Parade will kick off from Haynesville High School and travel through town, giving fans a chance to congratulate the players, coaches, and support staff for their achievement. Spectators are encouraged to line the route beginning at 10:30 a.m. with signs, school colors, and plenty of golden spirit.
