The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Sam Dowies, has officially joined the Louisiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
This partnership strengthens local efforts to protect children from online predators and ensures that Claiborne Parish residents have access to the resources and expertise of a statewide network dedicated to combating internet-based crimes against minors.
“By joining this task force, we are taking an important step to safeguard the children of Claiborne Parish from those who seek to harm them,” said Sheriff Dowies. “Our community’s safety is our top priority, and this collaboration gives us additional tools to keep our kids safe.”
The ICAC Task Force works with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to investigate and prevent online exploitation of children, and Claiborne Parish is now an active participant in these efforts.
