Residents and visitors alike are invited to step back into the spirit of the 1960s and 1970s this summer as the Peace, Love & Music Hippie Festival returns to downtown Homer.
The festival is scheduled for July 18 at Alabama Kinnebrew Park and promises a full day of music, themed activities, and family-friendly entertainment celebrating classic hippie culture.
Hosted by Main Street Homer, the event will feature live 1960s and 1970s music, along with interactive contests and attractions designed to bring the community together in a colorful, retro atmosphere.
Festival organizers say attendees can look forward to several featured activities, including:
A Hippie Costume Contest
A Hula Hoop Contest
Live entertainment and additional festival attractions throughout the day
Vendor spaces are currently available for businesses, artisans, and food vendors interested in participating. Those wishing to reserve a booth can contact Tracey at 318-461-7763 for additional details.
Organizers encourage the public to come dressed in their best retro attire and enjoy a day focused on community spirit, music, and fun in downtown Homer.
The event is expected to draw visitors from across Claiborne Parish and surrounding areas, providing an opportunity to support local vendors while celebrating peace, love, and music in a festive outdoor setting.
