Claiborne Academy’s cheerleading program is celebrating a successful summer camp season after both junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders returned home with numerous honors, individual recognitions, and a superior performance award.
According to coaches and school officials, the camp provided athletes with an opportunity to strengthen their skills, build teamwork, and gain valuable experience while preparing for the upcoming school year.
The Rebel cheerleaders demonstrated significant growth throughout the event, impressing camp instructors with their effort, enthusiasm, and dedication. Their hard work culminated in the squad earning a Superior Performance Trophy, one of the camp’s highest team recognitions.
In addition to the team award, several Claiborne Academy cheerleaders received individual honors.
Representing the junior varsity squad, Aubry, Caroline, and Ava were selected as All-American Cheerleaders, a distinction awarded to participants who demonstrate outstanding cheerleading skills, leadership, and spirit.
On the varsity squad, Lindy, Madison, Kyleigh, Ryland, and Katelynn were also named All-American Cheerleaders, earning the opportunity to represent their school among some of the top cheerleaders attending camp.
Two cheerleaders received special recognition for exemplifying the values and responsibilities associated with the sport. Caroline and Ali were presented with the “Role of a Cheerleader” Award, honoring athletes who display leadership, positive attitude, sportsmanship, and commitment to their teammates.
The camp also recognized Mackenzie with a special Senior Recognition Award, celebrating her contributions and dedication to the Claiborne Academy cheer program during her high school career.
School supporters and coaches praised the athletes for their accomplishments and for representing Claiborne Academy with pride throughout the camp experience.
Officials noted that beyond awards and trophies, the camp provided valuable opportunities for skill development and personal growth, helping prepare the cheerleaders for the upcoming athletic seasons and school events.
The successful camp performance reflects the continued strength of the Claiborne Academy cheer program and the commitment of its student-athletes to excellence both on and off the sidelines.
