Claiborne Academy 4-H students showcased the results of months of hard work and dedication during the Claiborne Classic Livestock Show, held over the weekend at the Claiborne Parish Fair Barn, bringing home numerous awards and top honors.

Students spent the summer preparing their animals for competition, with their efforts paying off across multiple livestock classes and showmanship events.

Among the top performers was Aubry Shively, who captured the event’s Supreme Overall Heifer title after earning first-place finishes in the Commercial Heifer, December Heifer, and February Heifer classes. Shively also placed third in showmanship.

Other Claiborne Academy winners included:

Addison Garrett – First Place in Market Class and Fifth Place in Showmanship.

Scott Cryer – Fourth Place in Showmanship.

Jace Holt – First Place in Market Class and Fourth- and Fifth-Place finishes in Showmanship.

Kinley Holt – Participated in the Peewee Show and received a participation ribbon.

School officials praised the students for their commitment, noting that each exhibitor devoted significant time and effort throughout the summer to prepare their livestock for competition.

The strong showing at the Claiborne Classic highlights both the dedication of Claiborne Academy’s young exhibitors and the continued success of its 4-H program in developing agricultural knowledge, responsibility, and showmanship skills.
