Frasier street near Haynesville High School temporarily changed to one-way traffic

Motorists traveling near Haynesville Jr./Sr. High School will encounter a temporary traffic change as Frasier Street is converted to one-way traffic during the beginning of the new school year.

According to the Haynesville Police Department, the change began the evening of Monday, Aug. 3, with traffic on Frasier Street behind the school restricted to southbound travel only from Stadium Drive.

A barricade was placed at the intersection of Frasier Street and Watters Street, blocking northbound traffic. Residents in the affected area will still be permitted to turn onto Watters Street to access their homes.

All other motorists must approach Frasier Street from Stadium Drive and travel southbound.

Police said the temporary traffic pattern is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks as motorists become accustomed to school traffic and the new restrictions.

The measure is also intended to prevent vehicles from traveling north on Frasier Street toward an existing barricade that completely blocks the roadway.

Drivers traveling near Haynesville Jr./Sr. High School are encouraged to pay attention to barricades and traffic changes and allow additional time when traveling through the area.
