Twenty Claiborne Academy students in first through sixth grades traveled to Flowood, Mississippi, to represent the Rebels at the MAIS Overall Swim Meet, with several swimmers earning top finishes and points for the team.

In the first- through third-grade competition, Noah Abshire earned a pair of second-place finishes, taking second in the 25-yard breaststroke and second in the 50-yard freestyle.

Gunner Guillory placed sixth in the 25-yard backstroke. Guillory also joined Abshire, Riley Salmon and Canyon Salas to earn fifth place in the medley relay.

In the fourth- through sixth-grade competition, Rhett Ware placed sixth in the 50-yard backstroke, while McCree Abshire earned sixth place in the 50-yard breaststroke.

Claiborne Academy praised all 20 swimmers for their hard work leading up to the meet and for representing the school during the competition.
