Claiborne Parish Schools announces tutoring services through Steve Carter program

Claiborne Parish Schools has announced a partnership with the Steve Carter Tutoring Program to provide additional academic support for eligible students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

The tutoring initiative, offered through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), is designed to help students who are performing below proficiency levels in English Language Arts (ELA), mathematics or both subjects.

According to the Claiborne Parish School Board, students in grades K-12 who are below proficiency in either subject may qualify for tutoring services aimed at strengthening academic skills and improving classroom performance.

Parents and guardians interested in the program are encouraged to complete an application using the application link or QR code provided on the district’s informational flyer.

Families will need their child’s 10-digit student identification number to complete the application. Parents who do not have the number should contact their child’s school to obtain the necessary information.

The partnership is intended to provide additional learning opportunities for students who need academic assistance in reading, language arts and mathematics.

Families seeking more information about eligibility or the application process are encouraged to contact their child’s school or visit the Louisiana Department of Education’s tutoring initiative website at www.louisianatutoringinitiative.com.

The Claiborne Parish School Board encourages eligible families to take advantage of the tutoring services to help students build academic skills and work toward grade-level proficiency.
