Coach Richie Casey’s schedule put the wife and kid on alert that he wouldn’t be home for the next four Friday nights. The Pelicans began the road journey in Ringgold (3-2, 1-1) with a 64-0 win.
Zyan Warren went 9 for 15 for 163 yards and three touchdown passes. Demetrius Pitts was on the receiving of two of those touchdown passes. Spencer Dunn added another receiving touchdown for the Pels.
Gregory Williams put on another show with 5 carries for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Katrevick Banks, Raymond Castro, and Jermaurion Pickens added touchdowns for the Pelicans.
Katrevick Banks kicks it off for Homer bolting downfield on a 60-yard touchdown. Zyan Warren launched a 57-yard touchdown pass to Spencer Dunn to give Homer the 16-0 lead. Gregory Williams scored on a 24-yard run. The first-quarter scoring ended with Warren connecting with Demetrius Pitts on a 5-yard touchdown pass. Homer (4-0, 2-0) was up 32-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Williams scored his second touchdown on a 14-yard run. Pitts caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Warren to give Homer the 48-0 halftime lead.
Jermaurion Pickens reached the end zone on a 6-yard run. Running clock made a quick third quarter as Homer led 56-0 heading into the final quarter.
Raymond Castro added one more touchdown for the Pelicans in the fourth quarter to a 64-0 final.
Homer will travel next week to Bossier Parish to face the winless Plain Dealing Lions.
