
The Haynesville Police Department, in partnership with Workforce Development and Shreveport Job Corps, is inviting Claiborne Parish families to attend a Back-to-School and Career Launch Program designed to support both students and adults as they prepare for the new school year.
The event will be held:
Date: Friday, July 31, 2026
Time: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Location: Haynesville Fairbarn
Who Can Attend: All Claiborne Parish residents
The community event will provide school supplies for children while also offering valuable career and workforce information for adults.
Children attending the event will have the opportunity to receive school supplies to help them start the new school year prepared.
Parents should note that all children must be present in order to receive school supplies.
The Haynesville Police Department is currently seeking sponsors and donations to help provide supplies for local students.

Highlighters

Composition books
Quart- and gallon-size Ziplock bags

Career Opportunities for Adults
In addition to helping students prepare for school, representatives from Workforce Development and Shreveport Job Corps will provide presentations highlighting education, job training, and career development opportunities available to adults and young adults.
Organizers hope the event will connect residents with resources that can help strengthen both educational and career pathways throughout Claiborne Parish.
Community members wishing to support the initiative may drop off school supply donations at the Haynesville Police Department
Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
To ensure organizers have enough supplies for the event, all donations should be received by Wednesday, July 29, 2026.
