The Haynesville Police Department has announced a venue change for its upcoming School Supply Giveaway and Career Launch event scheduled for Friday, July 31.

The event will still be held at the Claiborne Parish Fairgrounds, but organizers have moved the location to the Old School House at the fairgrounds.

The event will take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will include a free school supply giveaway for Claiborne Parish residents only, while supplies last.

Organizers are continuing to accept school supply donations. Those wishing to donate may request documentation for a tax deduction.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear presentations from Shreveport Job Corps, which serves at-risk youth ages 16 to 24, and Workforce Development.

The event is hosted by the Haynesville Police Department, Shreveport Job Corps, and Workforce Development.
